Annika Hylmö, Ph.D.
Annika Hylmö, Ph.D., career coach and consultant, supports people seeking to find or change careers. Annika helps clients to clarify their career direction and interests as she guides them in identifying and taking the steps needed to realize their professional and personal visions. Annika has worked extensively with undergraduate students as a teacher and counselor for 13 years, transitioning to use her empathic coaching skills to successfully coach new college graduates and adult career changers for the past two years. She has worked with individuals in a range of technical, creative, and professional fields. Annika brings her extensive experience with interviews and resume construction as well as other forms of professional communication and presentation skills to her clients along with her in-depth understanding of organizational cultures to help clients find an overall “fit” with not only a career but an employer as well.
Annika was born in Sweden and also grew up in the Bahamas, England, and in Los Angeles in the United States. She received her B.A. from Lund University, Sweden, in Media and Communication, her M.A. in International Communication from The American University in Washington, DC, and her Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Purdue University, Indiana. She has taught undergraduate courses at universities such as Purdue University, George Mason University, Loyola Marymount University and the University of Waikato in New Zealand. Annika has published her award winning career related research in academic journals. Her life, research, and consulting provide Annika with insights into a range of organizations and business sectors, locally and globally, that she shares with her clients.
Annika is also a partner with the Interchange Group, a workplace consultancy focusing on generational demographics in organizations. Her presentations about the generations to various professional groups consistently provide her audiences with new insights about the needs of employees of different age cohorts. She is a member of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association where she continues to stay in touch with the latest trends in executive coaching. In addition to coaching and consulting, Annika has a rich life that is grounded by her two Border Terriers, Bonnie and Slick, a love for singing, the creative and popular arts, and her family and friends.
Joanna Siebert Ed.M.
Joanna Siebert, coach and educational consultant, is passionate about promoting personal and professional development through collaborative partnership.
An online course developer at Laureate Education, Inc., Joanna’s expertise lies in creating an engaging and inspiring course experience that meets the diverse learning needs of working professionals. She has collaborated with subject matter experts to develop academic curriculum and learning resources for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level courses in education, psychology, and mental health counseling. Some of her favorite courses include Introduction to Child Development; Infant, Family, and Cultural Studies; Introduction to Mental Health Counseling, and Consulting for Organizational Change.
Joanna was born and raised in Northern California. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA. As a board member of the Student Alumni Association, Joanna facilitated student-alumni networking and helped to promote a sense of community on campus.
Following graduation, Joanna pursued her dual interests in writing/editing and education as a nonfiction children’s book editor. Joanna has worked in a variety of education settings and has mentored underserved students on pursuing college education and career development opportunities.
Joanna’s passion for understanding how culture and identity shape individuals’ career and educational expectations led her to Harvard, where she received her master’s degree in Education, with a concentration in Human Development and Psychology. At Harvard, Joanna researched teachers’ and students’ experiences with diversity and the communication strategies they employ for dealing with issues related to race, class, gender, and sexual orientation. During this time, she also coordinated career programs and alumni panel presentations for the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Career Services Office.
As a coach, Joanna supports clients in challenging their own expectations for themselves as they pursue their goals. In both her personal and professional life, Joanna seeks opportunities to further her own learning and help others grow and develop. She loves to read, write, and travel.
Maia Danziger, CPCC
A Certified Life Coach, Maia brings her years of experience in the arts to help her clients develop creative and fulfilling careers. The founder of the Relax & Write™ process, she has been teaching Relax & Write™ and guided meditation workshops for more than ten years. She runs weekly private classes in Los Angeles and also teaches workshops for a variety of organizations, including hospitals, wellness communities, universities, spas and corporations.
An Emmy Award winning actress, Maia has appeared extensively on and off-Broadway, on television, and in film. She is also the founder and former Artistic Director of the Actor’s Company Theatre in New York.
